About the Club
Port United is an all-inclusive, all abilities, community driven and family focused club that is run entirely by dedicated and passionate volunteers.
We’re the largest football club from Newcastle to Queensland and have been going strong for over 45 years. Port United club colours are Green, Black and White and our home ground is Dixie Park on Hastings River Drive in Port Macquarie.
Our primary aim is to provide a friendly family orientated atmosphere for all players from grassroots football to the local Premier League competition. We also endeavour to promote the game of football at all levels within the Port Macquarie and Mid North Coast region.
Head Coach Nathan “Happy” Wade
Coastal Premier League head coach Nathan Wade takes the reins for the 5th straight year. He has played at the club from a young age in juniors and through to the clubs Premier League sides. The Wade name is synonymous with the Port United Community with his 5 children playing across the juniors and CPL squad. He has coached junior teams and still does, having success with the u16 & u18s.
Nathan hopes to replicate his success as CPL coach, making 3 of the last 4 grand finals and a win in 2020’s “Southern Conference” final.
Captain Matthew Broderick
The Coastal League captain for Port United in 2021 is Matthew Broderick. Matthew has long been regular in the senior line up and hopes to replicate the success he has experienced as a junior with the club.
