About the Club

Port Saints FC is a proud community oriented football club based at Peter Martino Field on Findlay Avenue, Port Macquarie. We cater for ages 5 years and upwards, promoting the fun and enjoyment of the beautiful game of football. We welcome new and old players to our club, and expect all our members to uphold our club values of Fairness and Equity, Respect for Others, and Good Sportsmanship.

Our club was formed in 1980 and was one of the driving forces promoting female junior football participation in the Football Mid North Coast Zone. The club’s focus is on delivering the best opportunity for our members to learn and play football, and our committee are continuing to improve the experience for all.

Port Saints FC is very appreciative of the many local businesses that through their generous sponsorship help us to reduce the cost to our members and allow the club to fund better equipment and service for our members. Our major sponsors include St. Agnes Parish Education, Your Discount Chemist, EyeQ Optometrists, HEM Real Estate, Nashy’s Pix, Phyx You Physiotherapy, Settlers Inn Hotel, Charles Sturt University, and many others.

Head Coach John Goodman

Port Saints FC is proud to announce the return of Coach John Goodman. John has a long history with the club and is excited to coach at the Premier League level again. Port Saints FC have formed a coaching team to support John this season. It also provides a training opportunity for greener coaches as well as the benefit of leveraging different skills and experiences. Veteran players, Dan Gardner and Michael Bishop, will join Arsenal Football Academy coach James Garrett in supporting John.

The coaching team is looking to build on last season’s success and believe both teams have enough depth to make the top four in 2021. With the retention of key players like Mick Finlayson, Roan Whitman and Anthony Jamieson and the addition of ex Lambton Jaffas and Maintland FC player, Grant Brown, Port Saints feels the mix of experience in their team will develop younger players while the younger players push the veterans to give more on the field. “It should be an exciting and competitive season for Port Saints.”

Captain Anthony Jamieson

The captain for Port Saints FC’s first grade team is long-time player, Anthony Jamieson. 2021 marks Anthony’s 10th year with the club and being back at the helm is a fitting reward for his commitment to Port Saints FC. “I’m really passionate about the club and my team. They’re a great mix of players and we gel really well together, making us impressive opponents on the field. We’re itching to get back out there and show our supporters what we’re made of!”
