Teams prepare for finals in penultimate round of season

JUST two rounds remain before the inaugural Coastal League One Women season reaches its finals series, as teams prepare for a run at the grand final trophy in September.

The Boambee Eagles play host to the Sawtell Scorpions in the penultimate round of the Coastal League One Women season.

The Eagles will look to maintain their recent winning form as they prepare for finals, while the Scorpions will want to end their year on a high in their last game of the season.

Both teams are coming off last start games against the Macleay Valley Rangers, with the Eagles 5-2 victors while the Scorpions went down 3-2 last weekend.

The Eagles have won all three meetings against the Scorpions this season, including a 10-0 victory the last time they met.

It will be the first time the two teams will meet at Ayrshire Park this season.

The Urunga Raiders will look to continue their magnificent season when they take on the Macleay Valley Rangers in Kempsey.

The Raiders will be out for a 15th straight victory as they prepare to cap off a tremendous season with a successful finals tilt.

The Raiders are coming off a bye, while the Rangers split their two games last weekend.

The Raiders have won all three meetings against the Rangers this season, including a 3-0 win the last time they played.

The Coffs City United Lionesses have the bye in Round 19.
