Coastal League One Women’s run home to finals

THE inaugural Coastal League One Women season is heading towards the business end of the season, which just four rounds to go until this year’s finals series.

Here is how each team has fared so far this season and what their run home looks like.

Urunga Raiders: The dominant team of the competition having won all of their games so far this season.

Recently wrapped up the premiership and are a big chance to win their remaining three games, including a potential grand final preview against the Boambee Eagles at home in the final round.

Boambee Eagles: After a slow start to the season have stormed up the ladder on the back of four wins and a draw in their last 7 games.

Will look to maintain second spot on the ladder heading into finals, as they play three sides they have beaten recently.

Macleay Valley Rangers: Have been strong at home this season with all three of their wins coming at Rangers Park, and have also earnt points with four draws.

Could finish as high as second and as low as fourth, with games against fellow clubs jockeying for those positions in the Eagles and Lionesses to come.

Coffs City United Lionesses: Have had an up and down season so far but have shown their best can compete with any side.

Spent the early part of the season in second spot and can still finish in that position with winnable games against the Eagles and Scorpions away and Rangers at home.

Sawtell Scorpions: Have shown glimpses of their sides potential in draws against the Rangers and Lionesses as well as in some of their defeats.

Have three last shots to celebrate their first win of the year in what has been a tough season for the Scorpions.
