Coffs Coast Tigers to take on Port United in the match of the round

THE Coffs Coast Tigers have had a great month so far, winning four straight matches to go to second on the ladder.

They now travel to take on Port United in a top-four showdown during Round 13 of the Coastal Premier League season.

The Tigers are coming off a dominant 5-0 victory against the Sawtell Scorpions, while Port United also got the 3 points last weekend with a 3-0 win against the Taree Wildcats.

The Tigers are one of four North Coast Football sides who are away from home this weekend.

The Sawtell Scorpions are in a dogfight for a finals spot with the side currently in sixth, and need all 3 points when they take on the Taree Wildcats.

The Boambee Bombers travel to play a Southern United side sitting in a similar spot to them on the ladder.

In a crucial match for both teams’ finals chances, the 9th placed United sit just two points behind sixth position, with the Bombers two points behind United in 10th but with games in hand.

Bellingen will try to consolidate it’s top four position with an away win against a Port Saints side looking to jump into the top six.

The Coffs City United Lions are in red-hot form at the moment, as they try to keep their tremendous winning run of 10 straight going when they host the Kempsey Saints.

And the Northern Storm will look to back up a promising 2-2 draw with top four side Bellingen when they host the Macleay Valley Rangers.
