Urunga Raiders look to keep winning run to start the season going

URUNGA Raiders will look to keep their winning run to start the season going when they host the Sawtell Scorpions this weekend, in the latest round of the Coastal League One Women season.

The two sides have made polar opposite starts to the season, with the Raiders a perfect four wins from as many games, while the Scorpions search for their first win of the season.

The Raiders are coming off an 8-0 win at home against the Coffs City United Lionesses, while the Scorpions will look to bounce back from a 4-0 loss to the Macleay Valley Rangers in Kempsey.

It will be the first meeting between the two clubs this season.

Coffs City United Lionesses host the Boambee Eagles at Forsyth Park in what shapes to be a pivotal early season match, with the winner going to second spot on the ladder.

The Lionesses sit in second spot on the ladder with 6 points, while the Eagles have 4 points from their first three games.

The Eagles are coming off the bye, while the Lionesses are scheduled to play their first home game of the season at Forsyth Park.

It will also be the first time the two clubs have met this season.

The Macleay Valley Rangers have the bye in Round 7.
