THE URUNGA Raiders and Coffs City United Lionesses have both been victorious during the fourth round of the Coastal League One Women season.
The Urunga Raiders won their second match in a row to start the season with a 4-2 win away from home against the Boambee Bombers at Ayrshire Park.
The win sees the Raiders sit at the top of the ladder after four rounds as the only unbeaten side.
The Coffs City United Lionesses also earnt their second win in a row with a hard fought 2-1 victory against the Macleay Valley Rangers in Kempsey.
A win that was built on defence according to Lionesses captain Jordan Maddalena.
“It was an intense battle the whole game but our defence held it together only letting in one goal despite the many attempts from the Rangers,” she said.
The Raiders and Lionesses are both on 6 points at the top of the ladder, with the Raiders having played one less game.
