Coastal Premier League starting on time

Our thoughts go out to everyone on the mid-north coast impacted by the floods. It really has been quite a week or two.

Football, like everyone, has been impacted by the floods. Many playing fields have been damaged, some quite badly. Toilets, changing rooms, carparks, lighting, canteens and storage containing equipment and kit have also been negatively impacted. The true extent of damage to pitches and football infrastructure and other assets won’t be clear for another week or so.

Despite this, Coastal Premier League will kick off, as scheduled, on Saturday, 10 April 2021. While the season will start as scheduled, we may have to make some adjustments to where matches are played in the first few weeks.

Some matches scheduled for Port Macquarie, Kempsey and Taree may have to be moved to Coffs Harbour and swapped with second record matches. Second round matches would then be played later in the year in impacted areas.

We’ll have more to say about the draw and the location of matches in the coming week when the situation is clearer.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
