The Coastal Premier League was shaken up last weekend with Port Saints announcing themselves with a massive 2-0 win over Boambee Bombers. In round four they host Sawtell Scorpions at Findlay Park in our feature match south. Boambee travels to McLean Street for the feature match north, to take on Coffs United Lions.

Port Saints v Sawtell FC

Feature match south
Port Saints are third on the CPL ladder after three rounds, but with a massive scalp, last weekend will be full of confidence when they meet Sawtell in Port Macquarie on Saturday afternoon.
Sawtell has had a difficult start to the season. Their come from behind win against Kempsey Saints were great signs early on, but since then it’s been tough going for the youngsters of the competition.
Port Saints will be another tough test and hard to beat.
Northern Storm v Port United

Northern Storm overcame Kempsey Saints 3-2 in a tough physical encounter last weekend. They take on Port United, who travel to Coffs for their fourth consecutive away match.
Storm debuted several new players last weekend to an already exciting roster, and those players fit in well.
United has had a difficult start to the season. The 2019 FMNC Premiers are seventh on the ladder with just the one win from the first three. They have quality across the field, and both losses have been narrow ones; it’s merely a matter of time before we see what United can do, and it could be this weekend against Storm.
Whichever way it goes, this will be a tight contest.
Taree Wildcats v Macleay Valley Rangers

Taree Wildcats are ninth on the ladder and host second-placed Macleay Valley Rangers at the Taree Zone Field. The Wildcats had their first win of the season against Port United last weekend, a narrow 1-0 win against a quality side.
Macleay coach Chris Walker is upbeat about his side’s performances so far this year, but as has become the motto of the CPL, no match is an easy one.
“I think it will be another tough match facing them at home. They will be full of confidence after a good win against United on the weekend. We’re looking forward to the match.”
Coffs Coast Tigers v Kempsey Saints
5.00 pm | Polwarth Dr, Coffs Harbour
Coffs Tigers host Kempsey Saints at 5 pm on Saturday. Kempsey sits bottom of the table with three losses to start their campaign, though every team that has beaten them has struggled to do so. In all of their matches so far, the Saints have scored at least two goals.
If they can shore up their backline, the Saints will be a team to watch as the season progresses.
The Tigers will be a good indicator this weekend. They don’t struggle to score goals either, especially not against Sawtell last week in a comprehensive 5-2 win.
We are looking forward to this one, hopefully with plenty of goals at both ends.
Coffs United Lions v Boambee Bombers
6.00 pm | Forsyth Park, McLean Street
The Bombers face their toughest challenge yet this weekend up against an in-form and resurgent Coffs United Lions at ‘The Den’.
It’s a fixture that Bombers have dominated over recent seasons, but with a poor start to the season, the Lions head into this one as slight favourites.
No matter what form either side is in, it is always an exciting one, and both teams will be ready for a big game. This contest is our feature match north for round four.
